In 1973 ExerPlay's founders, Farrell and Sandra Smith, ventured into playgrounds. For 14 years they owned and operated Farrell M. Smith and Associates of Tempe, Arizona. In 1987 they sold the business to serve a three year mission for their church in Vienna, Austria.

Upon their return in 1990 they came to the eastern mountains of Albuquerque, NM. It is here that ExerPlay Inc. began. Now with nearly three decades of experience, ExerPlay has been a leader in the recreation industry by providing professional services and excellent products to New Mexico, Northern Arizona and West and South Texas.

In early 2006 Farrell's wife of 42 years, Sandra, passed away. He is now married to the former Diane Case and they along with Farrell's MBA son, David, and attorney son, Matt, comprise the Board of Exerplay, Inc.

Daniel Gardiner of Cedar Crest, NM has been President of Exerplay since April 2008 and has been commissioned with the responsibility of moving us forward into the future.
